When Boats.co.uk turned 50 years old, to commemorate their half century milestone they commissioned our film crew to video a father and son interview, looking back at the business.
In Jan 2020 we sent a film crew over to the Caribbean Islands to capture their beloved Oyster 825 sailing yacht "Champagne Hippy" Boats.co.uk wanted a beautifully art directed and high production value film to showcase her and the crew in action. The main purpose - to sell luxurious Charter holidays aboard this elegant and seductive beauty - both in the Caribbean and all over the world.
We planned and storyboarded the video, coached the sailing crew, filmed, edited and produced two films from the footage - with a very happy client we published to YouTube.
This was just before the first national lockdown in 2020 and as the lockdown went on, the boatyard as a physical venue became a "no go" location for visitors. We advised that they make some short, lower budget, review style videos of their boats in stock - and that they have a go themselves. They took this onboard and the sales team began to make videos - virtually walking their customers around the stock, enabling them to review the boats thoroughly - online, from the comfort and safety of their own homes. We gave them some key tips on filming and general advice and helped them to edit the footage from their phones.
With an increasing body of content now being built, Boost.video was tasked with an overhaul of the whole boats.co.uk youtube channel and asked to bring the amount of views on each video up to a significantly higher level.
Boats.co.uk saw a dramatic rise in views of each of their videos and an increase in the number of clicks through to their website. This lead to a substantial boost in the generation of sales leads for both the charter bookings and boat sales.
